Extraordinary roles available

The key focus is always first aid and there are a variety of volunteering roles within St John to suit your interest and abilities.

If you like to mix with the crowd and be in the heart of the action then a St John First Aider is the ideal role.

With the Bicycle Emergency Response Team, you can combine your volunteer interest with your love of bike riding.

Alternatively, you may choose to help operate the St John radio network as part of our Communication teams.

If you are Health Care Professionals or Student of these professions, you may choose to join your local St John Division or our State Support Unit. You also have an opportunity to volunteer with our Advanced Casualty Management Team (ACMT) which is deployed to high-risk major events and incidents.

If you are under 18 years old, you can join our Junior and Cadet Programs, which emphasise fun, participation and helping people.

You need no prior skills or experience since St John is committed to providing our volunteers with full training in clinical, communications and management programs.

This is an extraordinary volunteering opportunity. Click on each role to find out more.
